Co-operators Centre

In July 2008, Evraz Place officially began the construction of a new multiplex facility, officially known as the Co-operators Centre. The Co-operators Centre features six regulation size arenas with the main arena providing seating for approximately 1500 spectators. The entire facility, including the upper mezzanine, stretches 286,000 square feet with viewing available for each arena on both upper and lower levels. The arenas are separated by overhead doors that can be lifted to create large open spaces for use in large shows just like WCFPS. Other amenities of this facility include a full-service restaurant, lounge, Tim Hortons and a retail/pro-shop.

This complex will be a key component of the Western Canada Farm Progress Show housing exhibits throughout the whole building. The facility’s connectivity to the Queensbury Convention Centre (International Business Centre location), Credit Union EventPlex, Banner Hall, Ag-Ex, Brandt Centre, and the Agribition Building provide a unique advantage while hosting events like the Farm Progress Show.

The Co-operators Centre official Grand Opening will take place in April 2010, a couple months before the WCFPS Exhibitors will be moving in throughout all 6 of the arenas. The following list outlines the exhibits to be featured in each arena:

Arena 1: Modern Lifestyles

Arena 2: John Deere

Arena 3: The RBC New Inventions & Energy Centre which will showcase the industries most advanced technology including Arrow Corp. Inc. - Invention Mercury Length Grader;  Rodono Industries Ltd  - Invention Rodono Xtend.

Arena 4: MK Martin Enterprise Inc., Horst Welding, Schulte Industries Ltd., Gowan Company, Kubota Canada Ltd.
